As well as our significant experience in defending clients in criminal proceedings, we also represent individuals and corporations in commercial and civil litigation, as well as arbitration.
Our team have a record of resolving civil disputes which are closely associated with the criminal and regulatory work undertaken by our lawyers, including civil fraud, asset tracing and recovery, freezing injunctions and search orders, judicial review, and other civil claims aimed at preventing abuses by regulators, prosecutors or government investigators. We also have significant experience in litigating disputes relating to legal professional privilege, having been involved in the ENRC privilege litigation, one of the most important English privilege cases in recent years.
Our commercial litigation and arbitration practice aims to prevent and resolve disputes by providing clients with practical, creative legal advice that focuses on their strategic and commercial objectives.
We actively engage with clients to advise them on the full dispute resolution strategy, and where possible, to try to resolve disputes quickly and effectively, with minimal disruption to business operations.
We have particular experience in bringing and defending complex and high-value international commercial arbitration proceedings (including under ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL rules), including where corruption or other criminal illegality is at issue.
